Hyatt Regency Lake Washington is looking for a Group Sales Manager to embody the Lifestyle and Luxury of the Andaz brand. In this role, you'll specialize in selling guest rooms, event space, and related services, working closely with sales, events, and marketing teams to drive business.
What You'll Do
- Embody the Lifestyle and Luxury of the Andaz brand in all sales activities.
- Sell guest rooms, event space, and other Andaz services.
- Manage accounts, conduct site inspections, and solicit and generate business.
- Work as a team player with sales and events staff.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all transactions and contracts within sales files and Envision.
- Keep a clean record of the sales process within the Group Sales Booking comments and actively use the Envision Trace System.
- Consistently follow up on customer inquiries and phone messages within required response times.
- Meet and exceed standards for customer follow-up with paperwork and requests.
- Maintain strong customer relationships.
- Properly utilize the Envision trace system to manage solicitation efforts and account management.
- Demonstrate a consistently high level of participation in meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Meet project deadlines consistently and complete assigned projects.
- Set own goals and objectives and strive to complete each on time.
- Maintain complete and accurate knowledge of the resort and group offerings.
- Work side by side with Sales, Event and Marketing team.
- Work closely with Revenue Management to quote group business based on budget and hotel need periods.
- Produce sales contracts and manage correspondence.
- Demonstrate awareness of established property goals and your role in achieving them.
- Communicate clearly to property team to execute site tours.
- Participate in events as designated by Director, including resort familiarization trips.
- Travel may be required.
What We're Looking For
- A university degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Tourism Management, or equivalent industry experience.
- A minimum of 3 years' manager experience within a 4-5 star hotel sales environment.
- A proven track record in achieving targets and yield management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a home office environment.

- Understanding that Andaz clientele may vary from traditional hotels in target audiences, group size, and visit intention.
- Understanding of incentive travel and social luxury clientele.

- Passion for direct sales and willingness to jump in to assist the team as needed.
- Demonstrated active listening skills with customers and fellow employees.
- Accurate documentation and filing for proper implementation of work.
- A pro-active approach and anticipation of guest needs.

Team & Environment
You will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing. You will work side by side with the Sales, Event and Marketing team and in close contact with an assigned Coordinator and other support staff.
Work Mode
This is a remote position open to candidates in the US.
