Washington University in St. Louis seeks a Grants Financial Analyst II to join the Department of Medicine. This role manages post-award grant finances with moderate supervision, ensuring compliance and supporting faculty portfolios in a remote work environment.
What You'll Do
- Act as a liaison to accounting departments to resolve issues and manage the year-end process.
- Track and maintain an online database of submitted, awarded, and rejected grants.
- Work with Principal Investigators (PIs) on fund management and necessary budgetary changes.
- Approve purchasing documents and guide purchasing staff on grant-compliant expenditures.
- Update and forecast grant expenditures for faculty portfolios.
- Ensure timely contract and subcontract implementation by managing OSRS requirements.
- Create and process complex correspondence with granting agencies, including change requests and extensions.
- Obtain signatures and forward grant financial status reports to PIs and senior leadership.
- Monitor invoices for outgoing subawards.
- Coordinate responses to internal and external requests for grant-related information and documentation.
- Manage the closure of grant accounts, including final reports and statements.
- Assist with day-to-day departmental grant financial operations, including reporting and analysis.
- May assist with pre-award activities like proposal coordination, budget development, and compliance tracking.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience substituting for the minimum education.
- 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of the SUBS system.
- Knowledge of specific agency grant guidelines.
