Responsibilities
- Prepares and submits research grant applications, award documentation, and related transactions while ensuring records adhere to institutional and sponsor requirements.
- Supports the development of budget proposals, cost justifications, and financial reporting materials.
- Evaluates grant submissions for adherence to funding agency and internal organizational policies; confirms all required criteria are fulfilled.
- Handles procurement documentation, tracks incoming and outgoing payments, and resolves financial inquiries related to research accounts.
- Manages a designated group of research units, acting as the main point of contact for pre-award and post-award support for department staff and principal investigators.
- Tracks spending activity to ensure alignment with approved budgets; reviews charges for appropriateness, identifies anomalies, and advises on allowable costs under grant guidelines.
