About the Role
The position focuses on attracting qualified applicants to graduate programs by managing recruitment initiatives, providing application guidance, and building relationships with academic departments and underrepresented communities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential graduate students through targeted outreach campaigns
- Conduct one-on-one advising sessions with applicants on program fit and application requirements
- Represent the institution at academic conferences, recruitment events, and virtual fairs
- Develop and distribute recruitment materials tailored to specific disciplines
- Collaborate with faculty and program coordinators to understand enrollment goals
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and applicant interactions
- Assist in evaluating admissions data to assess outreach effectiveness
- Support diversity recruitment efforts by connecting with pipeline programs
- Respond to inquiries from prospective students via email, phone, and online platforms
- Organize campus visit schedules for admitted student events
- Provide training for graduate program staff on recruitment best practices
- Create content for social media and newsletters to engage applicant pools
- Track application trends and report findings to leadership
- Coordinate logistics for information sessions and open houses
- Foster relationships with domestic and international academic partners
- Advise applicants on prerequisite coursework and credential evaluation
- Assist in streamlining admissions workflows and communication templates
- Promote interdisciplinary graduate opportunities to broad audiences
- Ensure compliance with institutional and program-specific admissions policies
- Use CRM tools to manage applicant pipelines and follow-up tasks
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, or related discipline
- Two or more years of experience in graduate admissions or recruitment
- Knowledge of CRM platforms such as Slate or TargetX
- Experience working with underrepresented student populations
- Background in data analysis or reporting within educational contexts
