Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is seeking a Graduate Nurse to join our 6A Stepdown Unit at Allegheny General Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for a designated patient population by enacting the full nursing process. Our unit specializes in caring for high-acuity ICU stepdown patients and complex medical cases.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate clinical assessment and care planning skills for your patients.
- Provide safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
- Professionally direct and manage the activities of patient care delivery by team members.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
- Assess learning needs of patient and family and provide education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
What We're Looking For
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) or a Temporary Practice Permit.
- CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

This is an onsite position located at Allegheny General Hospital.
