Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Casual MRI Technologist to join the team at Saint Vincent Hospital. You will competently perform a variety of prescribed MRI imaging procedures at a technical level, exercising independent judgment and initiative without constant supervision.

What You'll Do

Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and taking appropriate action to resolve any image quality issues.
Review patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and the exam.
Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within your scope of practice, monitoring patient condition continually.
Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters while implementing safety standards.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.

What We're Looking For

An Associate’s Degree; Certification from a technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination.
Radiography Certification (R), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification and Registration (N), Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration (RT), MRI (MR) through ARRT, CNMT, any ARDMS certification, or ARMRIT.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Certification through ARRT is required within 18 months of hire unless you have obtained ARMRIT.
CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Nice to Have

Prior experience working as an MRI Technologist.
