This Expression of Interest is not linked to a single role, we're looking to hire AI gurus across multiple teams in New Zealand. If you’ve recently graduated (or are close to graduating), enjoy learning by doing, and are obsessed with AI - we’d love to connect! What You Might Get Involved In Depending on team needs and your interests, future opportunities may include: - Working alongside experienced engineers on AI‑enabled solutions - Supporting the development of intelligent applications, tools or workflows - Assisting with the development and testing of AI, machine learning, or data‑driven solutions - Contributing to proof‑of‑concepts, prototypes, or small components of larger AI systems - Working with code, data, and APIs under guidance from senior team members - Learning how AI tools and models are applied in real business contexts - Supporting experimentation with emerging technologies such as generative AI What We’re Interested In We’re keen to hear from people who: - Are completing or have recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related field - Have a genuine interest in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies - Enjoy problem‑solving and learning new tools - Are comfortable experimenting, asking questions, and building things You might also have exposure to (but don’t worry if not all of these apply): - Python or other programming languages - AI or ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit‑learn) - Cloud platforms (such as Azure or AWS) - Generative AI and LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Ollama) - Concepts such as prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, or RAG - APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations - Cloud fundamentals (especially Azure or AWS) - Git, CI/CD, containers, or infrastructure‑as‑code Why join us here at Datacom?
