Responsibilities
- Manage a global category of raw materials such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, flavors, and sweeteners
- Assess spending patterns, cost factors, market dynamics, and supplier ecosystems to develop and execute a sustainable procurement strategy
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with current and prospective international suppliers
- Classify and assess suppliers by quality, service, and value, conducting regular performance reviews and executive-level discussions
- Lead global cost-reduction initiatives and meet productivity goals
- Use data analysis to uncover opportunities for optimization, simplify processes, and promote standardization and consolidation worldwide
- Work closely with international internal teams to align sourcing plans, timelines, and business goals
- Lead complex international procurement tenders (RFX), negotiations, and contract management, addressing pricing, supply continuity, service levels, legal, and intellectual property risks
- Proactively identify supply risks, forecast price movements, and ensure long-term availability of critical materials
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, supply chain, procurement, engineering, operations, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, preferably in a global setting
- Familiarity with key raw materials and ingredients used in nutrition or food production
- Proven experience in building and managing relationships with international suppliers
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams across different regions
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken; German proficiency is a plus
- Strong analytical mindset, structured approach to work, and solid project management skills
