Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of global logistics for commercial aircraft components, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant transportation of parts and materials. This role is central to maintaining resilient international supply chains, with full accountability for freight operations, trade compliance, and logistics governance—exclusively within the commercial aerospace sector.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement a global logistics strategy aligned with program demands and operational efficiency
- Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) and ensure optimal configuration and utilization
- Manage air and ocean freight movements, including carrier coordination and performance tracking
- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, documentation standards, and audit requirements
- Negotiate and manage contracts with logistics providers and global suppliers
- Monitor budget performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report on key logistics metrics
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, especially for time-sensitive or critical shipments
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to streamline logistics workflows
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and process optimization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years in logistics or transportation roles within aerospace or complex manufacturing environments
- Proven experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and international freight execution
- Working knowledge of global trade compliance, customs regulations, and Incoterms
- Track record managing logistics across multinational operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience supporting commercial aircraft programs
- Background handling AOG (Aircraft on Ground) or urgent logistics scenarios
- Familiarity with Incoterms 2020 and SAP systems
- Experience coordinating with global manufacturing sites and suppliers
