We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to play a key role in delivering high-profile projects across sectors such as rail, highways, energy, water, and defence. With opportunities in Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Belfast, you will work on technically demanding assignments involving foundations, earthworks, and ground engineering, supporting both national and international initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the design and analysis of geotechnical structures using established methods and software tools
- Carry out and support ground investigations, interpreting data to inform engineering decisions
- Produce clear, accurate technical reports with attention to detail and self-review
- Work closely with engineers and professionals across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide expert input
- Undertake site visits and short-term assignments across the UK and abroad
What We're Looking For
- A degree in civil engineering, geology, or a related geoscience field
- Postgraduate qualification focused on geotechnical engineering or geology
- Progress toward chartered status, or already chartered
- Experience with geotechnical design for foundations, earthworks, and structures
- Familiarity with software such as Geostudio, Repute, or Wallap
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel
