Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Genetic Counselor-Clinical Projects for a short-term, project-based remote role. You will support a virtual genetics clinic, focusing on foundational tasks like chart preparation, documentation, and research with a minimal time commitment.
What You'll Do
- Support virtual genetic counseling services through detailed patient chart preparation.
- Compile relevant medical and family history, test results, and clinical details to optimize counselor readiness.
- Draft standardized notes for hereditary cancer and cardiovascular risk assessments, population screening, and results disclosure using provided templates.
- Research and evaluate emerging genetic tests and present evidence-based recommendations for potential clinical adoption.
- Observe virtual counseling sessions, gaining insight into integrated primary care applications in genetics.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program.
- ABGC certification or board-eligibility.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical cancer or cardiovascular genetics.
- Self-starter with strong remote working capabilities and proactive communication.
- Enthusiasm for expanding access to inclusive, patient-focused genetic care.
