About the Role

Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring a General Sales Manager to lead the team at Napleton Toyota of Urbana. This role is responsible for the dealership's New and Used Sales, Financial Services, and Fixed Operations, driving performance by developing talent and delivering an outstanding customer journey. Our company is a family-owned and operated group with 90+ years of experience in the automotive industry.

What You'll Do

  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent for the dealership.
  • Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals using established processes.
  • Manage the negotiation and financing processes, ensuring customers understand their options.
  • Lead the Used Car Sales Department, including inventory management, pricing, and reconditioning.
  • Create an exceptional customer experience to foster loyalty.
  • Partner with the General Manager to plan and manage new and used vehicle inventory.
  • Analyze business performance to identify shortfalls and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Drive the business through hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations.

What We're Looking For

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive retail Sales Manager experience.
  • Proven ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
  • Demonstrated success in attracting, developing, and retaining great talent.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with a focus on revenue and profitability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills.
  • Experience with and a desire to work with technology.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen per local regulations.
  • Must be 18+ years of age to comply with company driving policy.

Team & Environment

You will partner directly with the General Manager and lead the dealership's sales teams.

  • Compensation: $150,000-$200,000 per year (incentive-based).
