About the Role

Love's Travel Stops is looking for a General Manager in Training to assist in overseeing daily operations to drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in leading a team, managing processes, and executing strategies to grow sales and meet organizational goals.

What You'll Do

  • Take hands-on responsibility for multiple business operations, including retail store, fuel, restaurant, fresh kitchen, and truck care.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through restroom and shower cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
  • Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising standards.
  • Assist the General Manager with proper task execution, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Understand financial reporting, including analyzing profit and loss statements, and affect change to capture opportunities.
  • Collaborate with managers on talent acquisition efforts.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
  • 2+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $2+ million.
  • 2+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
  • 2+ years supervising and training 5-10+ employees.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus.
  • Exceptional customer service, rapport building, salesmanship, and satisfaction management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Physical demands include frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
