Morpho Labs is hiring a General Counsel to scale the company's adoption by building and leading its Legal & Public Affairs function. In this role, you will empower leaders, strengthen credibility with partners and regulators, and enable faster execution through clear, risk-weighted decisions.

What You'll Do

Build and scale a high-performing Legal & Public Affairs organization, empowering the existing team, designing the structure, hiring, and implementing scalable systems and playbooks.
Own the Legal and Public Affairs roadmaps to ensure alignment with business priorities as the company grows.
Lead US institutional readiness by negotiating complex, high-value partnerships, especially with US institutional and traditional finance entities, and building the frameworks to scale safely.
Increase company velocity and decision quality by turning ambiguous, high-stakes topics into actionable paths with clear options, trade-offs, owners, and timelines.
Represent Morpho externally with credibility as a senior face of the company with partners, counsel, policymakers, regulators, and ecosystem stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

15+ years of legal and public affairs experience.
Significant in-house leadership experience in a high-growth tech or fintech environment.
Web3/crypto exposure, including digital assets, DeFi, trading/lending, and the product/regulatory interface.
Proven track record negotiating major, high-value partnerships, especially US institutional/TradFi-facing work, and operating effectively in the US context.
Demonstrated ability to be a senior external representative with Tier-1 partners and regulators.
Experience owning both Legal and Public Affairs strategy, including narrative, roadmap, and stakeholder management, while balancing both.
Experience building and scaling teams through growth phases, including org design, hiring, performance management, and budgeting.
Startup-compatible mindset, with agility and comfort using modern tools.
