Cognizant is seeking a GDO Outreach Operations Specialist to improve the accuracy and comprehensiveness of Google Maps. You will research and engage with authoritative entities to gather geographic data, manage the entire data pipeline, and act as a key liaison between partners and Google.
What You'll Do
- Conduct research in assigned cities to collate geographic data from approved sources to enhance Google Maps accuracy.
- Communicate Google’s geo mission to entities and engage potential partners to share data, primarily promoting the Geo Data Upload (GDU) Tool.
- Liaise between external partners and Google stakeholders to convey requirements, validate data, and coordinate updates.
- Report details of outreach, operational issues, and project status to the GDO Outreach Operations Lead.
- Manage and track all data submissions with both GDO operations teams and external partners.
- Update internal planning tools and platforms, logging all research, outreach, rejections, and submissions.
- Document key metrics like partners contacted, data sets submitted and ingested, and edits made from outreached sources.
- Address and resolve external partner queries associated with the project.
- Troubleshoot process and operational issues reported by data sources and develop a deep understanding of data formats and structures.
- Manage the data pipeline from partner data capture to launch schedules, ensuring the highest data quality.
- Utilize Google and non-Google owned tools to engage with new partners and track communications.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, GIS, a related field, or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience working in digital/technology companies with tech products.
- Experience in Business Development and B2B partnerships/sales, or customer service.
- Expertise in Salesforce.com and Google Drive.
- Knowledge of Geographic Information System tools.
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English.
