U-Haul is seeking a GCM Relationship Manager IV to manage client relationships and the daily administration of assigned Global Capital Markets (GCM) accounts characterized by significant intricacy, complexity, and risk. You will serve as the primary liaison with clients and internal/external partners to execute strategies for sustainable growth while ensuring strict compliance.
What You'll Do
- Monitor administrative and operational systems for complex, high-risk accounts to ensure compliance with policies.
- Review, analyze, and provide comments on the negotiation and drafting of operative documents and agreements.
- Coordinate activities with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit to monitor risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Research and resolve issues related to account controls and client service promptly.
- Work with external attorneys and financial advisors to structure and close GCM transactions.
- Complete account administration activities, including cash flow execution, fee billing, and reporting.
- Participate in sales calls and prepare fee proposals to support new business opportunities.
- Partner with Fee Billing to monitor and collect aged receivables.
- Cultivate relationships with current and prospective clients to uncover new business.
- Provide coverage and support for other Relationship Managers within your unit.
- Represent GCM at transaction closings, chair client meetings, and lead presentations.
- Represent GCM and lead departmental projects and corporate initiatives periodically.
- Participate in strategic and tactical divisional and departmental projects.
- Direct and monitor less experienced Relationship Managers and Client Administrators.
- Work with management to enhance GCM’s control environment, products, and client service model.
- Advise management on product changes affecting GCM’s control environment and profitability.
- Supervise and monitor others within your managerial group.
- Exercise managerial authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management, and terminations.
- Understand and adhere to the company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
- Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects our brand.
- Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years’ client service experience in Global Capital Markets products or markets.
- Or, in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ GCM client service experience.
- High proficiency with personal computers and pertinent software.
- High proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting legal documents.
- Ability to calculate figures like discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Familiarity with corporate structures, relevant laws, and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, verbal, written communication, and analytical skills.
- Strategic thinking skills.
- Minimum of 2 years’ work leadership, supervisory, and/or managerial experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have
- CCTS (Certified Corporate Trust Specialist) certification.
- Working knowledge of pertinent specialized internal software applications.
- Demonstrated sense of ownership in jobs or projects.
