U-Haul is hiring a GCM Relationship Manager III to manage client relationships and the daily administration of assigned Global Capital Markets (GCM) accounts characterized by significant complexity and risk. You will serve as the main point of contact with clients and service partners to achieve sustainable earnings growth and compliance, while participating in the development of innovative products and services.
What You'll Do
- Monitor administrative and operational systems, databases, and activity for accounts of moderate to complex risk to ensure compliance with policies.
- Review, analyze, and provide comments on the negotiation and drafting of operative documents and agreements for assigned accounts.
- Coordinate activities related to monitoring risks and ensuring regulatory compliance with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and/or Audit.
- Research and resolve issues related to control and client service aspects of assigned accounts.
- Work with external parties (attorneys, financial advisors, partners) to structure and close GCM transactions.
- Complete various account administration activities including cash flow execution, fee billing, reporting, and tickler processing.
- Participate in sales calls with GCM Sales to current and prospective clients and prepare fee proposals.
- Manage and cultivate relationships with current and prospective clients and referral sources.
- Provide coverage and support for other Relationship Managers within the assigned Section/Unit.
- Represent GCM at transaction closings, attend and chair client meetings, and prepare relevant documentation.
- Represent GCM and/or lead departmental projects and Corporate initiatives.
- Participate on Divisional and Departmental projects, including product development, fee structures, and policy.
- Direct and/or monitor less experienced Relationship Managers and Client Administrators.
- Work with management to identify opportunities to enhance GCM’s control environment, products, and client service.
- Advise and work with management on product changes affecting GCM’s control environment, profitability, and growth.
- Supervise and mentor others in their managerial group.
- Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary, and terminations.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of client service experience in Global Capital Markets products or markets.
- OR a combined minimum of 7 years of higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years of client service experience in Global Capital Markets products or markets.
- High level of proficiency with personal computers and pertinent software.
- High proficiency and experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting legal documents.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Familiarity with corporate structures, relevant laws, and regulations.

Nice to Have
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory and/or work leadership experience.
- Preferred experience in Credit Tenant Leasing, understanding the various documents and cash flows.
- CCTS (Certified Corporate Trust Specialist) certification.
- Working knowledge of pertinent specialized internal software applications.
- Demonstrated sense of ownership in jobs or projects.
Team & Environment
You will work within an assigned Section/Unit, providing coverage for other Relationship Managers and directing or monitoring less experienced Relationship Managers and Client Administrators.
Benefits & Compensation
- Annual salary range: $102,939.06 - $171,565.10 (USD)
