This role begins as an inside sales position, designed to build a strong foundation in customer relationships, product expertise, and sales operations, with the goal of advancing to an outside sales role within 1–2 years. Based remotely in the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale area, you will support OEM accounts, manage order inquiries, expedite shipments, and respond to customer requests for quotes and product availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming sales and service inquiries, including order status, credit issues, and quoting using the company’s ERP system
- Identify and develop new business opportunities from quote requests and customer interactions
- Support outside sales teams with technical and account assistance for key OEM clients
- Complete hands-on rotations in production and repair departments to understand product functionality and system integration
- Shadow senior sales and management staff during customer visits and internal meetings
- Attend monthly in-person training in Tampa to develop sales techniques and product knowledge
- Pursue Fluid Power Specialist certification through the International Fluid Power Society
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO 9001 and the company’s Quality Management System
Qualifications & Expectations
Candidates must be prepared to begin in an inside role and demonstrate proficiency in sales processes, product knowledge, and customer service before transitioning. Willingness to travel to Tampa once per month for one week is required. Rotational assignments in technical departments, active participation in training, and certification completion are essential to progression.
