Cloud Chamber is looking for a Gameplay Engineer to bridge technical execution and creative vision for our next project. You will be responsible for crafting compelling gameplay systems that bring the world of BioShock to life, ensuring player-centric gameplay feels impactful.
What You'll Do
- Work closely and constructively with design and art teams to realize creative ambitions.
- Architect and coordinate the implementation of new Gameplay systems and features for player verbs, camera, and weapons.
- Work within the Unreal 5 engine, adapting existing systems and building new technology to fulfill technical and creative goals.
- Keep current on technological developments and advancements in the game industry.
- Identify technical and developmental risks and generate solutions to overcome them.
- Partner closely with design, engineering, animation, and audio to further project goals.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of industry or related experience.
- Previous experience as a contributor to a gameplay engineering team.
- Strong 3D Math skills with C/C++ experience.
- Experience with the C/C++ programming language and a strong familiarity with Object-Oriented design principles.
- Commitment to code quality, documentation, and sound testing procedures.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of current data structures, algorithms, and methodologies.
- Experience working with player-centric systems, such as character, camera, and control (3Cs).
- Current console experience.
Nice to Have
- A strong understanding and familiarity with current Unreal Engine technology.
