About the Role

Ford is seeking a Process Coach-Maintenance for the Oakville Assembly Complex. In this role, you will oversee the repair and preventative maintenance of all equipment, ensuring the achievement of departmental productivity, quality, safety, and cost targets. You will leverage your skills to drive a culture of excellence, focus, and collaboration within our manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise, mentor, and coach unionized skilled trades personnel.
  • Enforce and ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Lead, plan, and oversee all maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and daily start-up procedures.
  • Monitor and assess employee performance, manage concerns, and exercise disciplinary action if necessary.
  • Develop and implement training strategies for team members and celebrate accomplishments.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and facilitate timely repairs of equipment breakdowns, driving root cause analysis.
  • Coordinate resources, materials, and schedules with production departments to minimize impact on production.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and take appropriate action to protect employee health and safety.
  • Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate production bottlenecks, reduce waste, and enhance productivity and quality.
  • Utilize plant reporting tools and performance metrics to analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Support production departments in meeting targets and contribute to improving standard practices.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion and submission of all required reports to the Superintendent.

What We're Looking For

  • College Diploma or Skilled-Trade Certificate of Qualification.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work all shifts: days, afternoons, and midnights.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent.
  • Experience supervising skilled trades personnel in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certification.
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment.
  • Experience with industrial robots, preferably Fanuc.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
  • Experience with industrial controls such as PLCs (Allen-Bradley), Siemens drives, and HMIs.
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with all employees in the organization.
  • Knowledge of common industrial machine components and the ability to source them.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary range: $85,000.00 - $135,000.00
  • Eligibility for an annual compensation bonus program

This is an onsite position located at the Oakville Assembly Complex in Canada.
