As a Game Product Manager at Mob Entertainment, you will own a game’s entire lifecycle, from pre-green light concept evaluation through launch and post-launch performance. You will be the central function ensuring each game is backed by a clear product vision, market validation, and disciplined processes that align Creative, Production, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, and Finance to meet player and company goals.
What You'll Do
- Lead concept evaluation including market analysis, genre trends, competitive benchmarking, and player opportunity sizing.
- Develop the Product Brief covering core lore, target audience, differentiators, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Build ROI rationale in partnership with Finance and Production, covering staffing, timeline, budget, and risk analysis.
- Create and own the green-light package for senior leadership team review and approval.
- Define minimum gating criteria and business justification required for project advancement.
- Maintain and continuously refine the product roadmap, prioritization framework, and delivery milestones.
- Work with Production to translate vision into milestones, scope, and sprint objectives.
- Ensure alignment between feature set and target KPIs, player motivations, and market fit.
- Drive cross-functional communication and ensure all teams work from the same assumptions and priorities.
- Lead change management by assessing scope, staffing, or timeline adjustments with data and rationale.
- Own the risk/assumption log and mitigation plan across departments.
- Partner with Marketing, Analytics, and Community to develop launch strategy, key beats, messaging, and positioning.
- Ensure the product meets definition of readiness for launch, including quality thresholds, analytics instrumentation, and content completeness.
- Coordinate playtests, player research, and feedback cycles pre-launch.
- Monitor live KPIs and gather player feedback to drive post-launch iterations.
- Lead postmortems and integrate learnings into the studio’s development frameworks.
- Own and evolve Mob’s green-light framework, milestone gating standards, and product evaluation methodology.
- Establish reusable documentation templates such as PRDs, briefs, and KPI scorecards.
- Ensure disciplined application of processes to prevent misalignment, late-stage surprises, and inefficient spend.
- Bring the right subject-matter experts into decisions at the right time across Production, Finance, Analytics, Creative, and Marketing.
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of game product management experience.
- Must have shipped video game titles.
Team & Environment
You will serve as the central decision-driving function between Creative, Production, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, and Finance.
