Workday is looking for a Functional Consultant - Adaptive Planning to join our Professional Services team. You will act as a trusted advisor, playing a key role in end-to-end implementations of our Adaptive Planning product for a diverse portfolio of customers, either leading or supporting single or multiple Finance functional streams.
What You'll Do
- Gain practical knowledge of Workday’s implementation methodology throughout the project life cycle.
- Gather Customer Business Requirements and demonstrate core Workday concepts using pre-delivered solutions.
- Translate requirements into configured solutions and ensure detailed unit testing.
- Support customers during multiple testing rounds, resolving issues under the guidance of a Lead Consultant.
- Undertake final deployment activities, including knowledge transfer and post-production support.
- Work on at least 3 full-cycle implementation projects within your first year.
- Build knowledge through additional training and multiple concurrent projects in your second year.
- Complete the Workday Adaptive Planning Certification within the first 3 months.
- Supplement product knowledge through active project engagements, guided by a Functional Architect or Senior Consultant.
- Work closely with other Consulting teams, including Integration Consultants, to ensure seamless application collaboration.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience working with or implementing Adaptive Planning or a Tier 1 Planning software application such as Anaplan, OneStream, or Hyperion.
- 4+ years of Consulting experience with a Consulting or Software Company.
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills.
- A problem solver passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
- A strong presenter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and desire to learn technology quickly through a mix of mediums.
- Resourceful and adaptable; comfortable working remotely with a high degree of autonomy.
- Ability to travel as needed to client sites.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Workday Financials or HCM, either as an implementer or user.
- Prior Consulting experience, either as an Internal Consultant or with a Consulting/Software Company.

- Primary Location Base Pay Range: $116,900 USD - $175,400 USD. Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $111,100 USD - $197,300 USD.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role based in the USA.TX.Home Office area, with a Flex Work approach requiring you to spend at least 50% of your time each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners.
