Join a forward-thinking project as a freelance Web Scraping Engineer, where you'll take full ownership of data extraction pipelines from start to finish. Your primary focus will be retrieving structured data from complex, interactive websites, often rendered with JavaScript, and delivering clean, validated results on time.
What You’ll Do
- Design and manage complete data collection workflows across challenging web environments, ensuring consistency, completeness, and reliability.
- Use Apify, OpenRouter, and custom-built tools to automate and optimize scraping tasks, adapting quickly to evolving site structures.
- Implement validation checks and cross-referencing methods to uphold strict data quality standards before delivery.
- Handle large-scale extractions by applying efficient batching or parallel processing techniques, monitoring for failures, and ensuring system resilience.
- Collaborate within a hybrid AI-human framework, guiding automated agents and refining processes through Vibecode to improve accuracy and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in web scraping, especially with JavaScript-heavy or dynamically loaded content.
- Strong technical discipline in building and maintaining robust, scalable extraction systems.
- Ability to think critically and apply domain knowledge when troubleshooting or optimizing workflows.
- Skill in validating outputs against formatting rules and ensuring cross-source consistency.
- Experience adjusting strategies in response to changes in website behavior or structure.
- Familiarity with Vibecode as a method for directing AI-assisted data operations.
Work Environment
This is a part-time, fully remote role with complete schedule flexibility. You work when it suits you, as long as deliverables are met. There's no office, no fixed hours—just clear expectations and the autonomy to meet them your way.
Compensation
Pay is equivalent to $32 per hour, with actual earnings depending on project scope, complexity, and required expertise. There is no equity offered, and compensation may vary across assignments.
