Responsibilities
- Own every query that ends in a Viktor signup — paid, earned, and AI-engine.
- Google + Bing at the keyboard. Audit, baseline, and restructure by intent class — brand · category · competitor · prospecting. Bidding architecture: target CPA · Max Conversions · value-based where it earns it. Weekly SQR cycle. Offline conversion uploads tied to closed-won, not lead volume.
- Technical SEO baseline. Crawl audit, indexability, page speed, schema deployment (Organization · Product · FAQPage · Article), canonicalization, internal linking architecture. No backlog of theory — you ship it.
- AEO baseline. Citation share-of-voice tracked weekly across ChatGPT · Claude · Perplexity · Google AI Overviews. Map ours and competitors'. LLM.txt deployed on owned properties. FAQ library architected broad → specific → hyperspecific → procedural. Tactical citation-PR. Slow-cadence outreach to publications, communities, and authoritative sources that move citation SoV on Viktor's priority topics. You set the targeting and measurement frame.
- Content gap mapping + citation-targeted clusters. You define them. Content function executes as it comes online.
- Reporting + measurement. Weekly Search read-out to CMO · monthly leadership read-out · search-attributed pipeline as the headline number. Not clicks. Not signups.
- Department playbook. JDs, SOPs, measurement frame, hiring rubric for the next Search hires — ready before each trigger fires.
Requirements
- Millions in cumulative paid Search spend across multiple verticals — tactical operator, not 'manager from above'
- 5-10+ years B2B paid Search at SaaS or AI, senior-IC accountability anchored to SQL pipeline + closed-won (not lead volume)
- Recognized AEO point of view — a documented thesis on how SEO + AEO + citation-building converge into one earned-discovery discipline
- AI-tooling implementation experience inside a marketing function — working thesis on how AI reshapes team shape, output, and leverage
- SQL + GA4 fluent — reads raw data, owns attribution, doesn't wait for an analyst
- Operator-first orientation — runs Google Ads at the keyboard from day 1
- AI-native daily workflow: Claude / Claude Code / Cursor for SQR analysis, keyword research, LP copy variants, bidding scenarios, AEO drafting, citation tracking
