J.S. Held LLC is looking for a Forensic Engineer specializing in Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) to manage high-stakes projects and serve as a trusted technical advisor. You will conduct field investigations and provide clear-cut analysis on complex matters requiring integrity and precision.
What You'll Do
- Manage accident reconstruction projects and client relationships.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities.
- Conduct unbiased field investigations and testing of incidents and loss events.
- Provide technical findings, analysis, and conclusions in a timely fashion using layman's terms.
- Travel for inspections, field work, marketing, and business development.
- Maintain communication with clients and project teams on status and scope.
- Maintain technical and professional knowledge through continuing education and professional organizations.
- Continuously meet or exceed assigned performance metrics and goals.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
- Occasionally participate in informative presentations for clients and peers.

- Ability to work remotely or while traveling to different job sites (reliable cellular service, high-speed data access).
- Willingness and desire to work above minimum performance and goal requirements.
- Must be able to travel to different regions throughout the United States with reliable transportation.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering field.
- Minimum of 15 years of post-academic industry engineering experience.
- ACTAR certification.
- Foundation of testifying experience.
- Experience in technical reports.
- Experience managing teams.
- Master’s Degree.

- Compensation range: $150,000 - $250,000
