Lead aspiring mechanical contractors through their licensing journey by teaching comprehensive exam preparation courses for Florida’s Air A, Air B, and Mechanical Contractor exams. This part-time role focuses on delivering clear, engaging instruction across both technical trade topics and business & finance components required by the CILB.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver structured online and livestream classes aligned with established curriculum goals
- Engage students actively, offering guidance and feedback to support mastery of key concepts
- Teach critical subject areas including mechanical code standards, OSHA safety rules, contract law, and trade-specific calculations
- Develop and update practice questions and study materials to reflect current exam formats
- Share practical test-taking techniques and real-world insights from professional experience
- Collaborate on curriculum improvements and stay informed about changes to licensing requirements
- Support learners through mock exams, problem-solving sessions, and targeted review
What You Bring
- A current Florida Mechanical Contractor license
- Strong understanding of both the Trade and Business & Finance sections of the CILB exam
- Experience in teaching, training, or professional education—especially in construction-related fields—is highly valued
- Commitment to staying current with evolving codes, regulations, and industry practices
