Supervise and coordinate outbound warehouse activities to ensure smooth, accurate order processing from pick to shipment. As the Floor Lead – Outbound, you will manage daily workflows, assign tasks, and guide a team of floor associates to meet customer deadlines and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee picking, packing, labelling, and data entry to ensure orders are processed correctly and on time
- Plan and assign daily tasks to maintain productivity and meet shipment schedules
- Ensure precise data entry in warehouse management systems for order tracking, inventory movement, and shipping documentation
- Verify that all outbound items meet quality and customer-specific requirements before dispatch
- Monitor inventory levels in the outbound area and report discrepancies or damaged goods promptly
- Work with inbound, inventory, and returns teams to improve space use and labor efficiency
- Enforce safety protocols and quality standards across all floor operations
- Support onboarding and training of new staff on procedures and safety practices
- Track daily performance metrics including order volume, productivity, and quality issues
- Take part in cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain stock accuracy
- Communicate regularly with management on operational status, challenges, and staffing needs
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, with a focus on outbound or fulfilment processes
- Proven experience leading or supervising warehouse teams preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and basic computer applications
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, bills of lading, and inventory reports
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accuracy under pressure
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and a commitment to enforcing compliance
- Willingness to work different shifts or extended hours as needed
Preferred Experience
- Experience using RF scanners, barcode systems, and warehouse automation tools
- Understanding of supply chain terminology and logistics workflows
- Problem-solving mindset with initiative in addressing operational issues
- Background in third-party logistics (3PL) or multi-client warehouse environments
Work Environment
