Anypear is looking for a Flight Simulator Operator to join our creative team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of producing educational and cinematic aviation content for our UK-based Media Company’s YouTube channel, using flight simulation software to re-enact and analyse incidents.
What You'll Do
- Customise and optimise simulation environments by adjusting weather, time of day, and terrain.
- Use in-game camera tools to capture dynamic angles, fly-bys, cockpit views, and wide shots.
- Re-enact specific flight scenarios following real-world physics and aviation protocols.
- Collaborate with directors, storyboard artists, and editors to match creative vision.
- Troubleshoot and refine simulations to ensure smoothness and accuracy during recording.
- Maintain consistency across shots in terms of aircraft positioning, lighting, and environmental elements.
What We're Looking For
- Passion for aviation with a strong desire to share knowledge.
- Ability to explain aviation topics in an engaging, enthusiastic, and easy-to-understand way.
- Advanced experience using flight simulation software such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, and potentially Prepar3D or Aerofly FS.
- Experience in content creation and production, including working from shot lists and executing detailed production plans.
- Basic understanding of cinematography, camera angles, and scene composition.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work closely with a production team.
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
