The Footwear Fitting Model plays a key role in refining footwear design by providing accurate, detailed assessments throughout the product development lifecycle. Working closely with design, development, and technical teams, you will evaluate prototypes, samples, and production-ready styles to ensure they meet fit, comfort, and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Participate in fitting sessions for various footwear types, including heels, flats, boots, sneakers, sandals, and seasonal styles.
- Deliver clear, actionable feedback on fit, construction, and wearability to support design and technical adjustments.
- Collaborate with footwear technicians during the development of new lasts and sole constructions.
- Identify fit discrepancies, pressure points, or material issues and communicate them effectively.
- Maintain organized records of fitting outcomes and approvals using digital documentation tools.
- Follow fitting protocols precisely and remain available for in-person sessions, photoshoots, or supplier visits as needed.
Requirements
- Must wear a US size 6B with a foot shape representative of the average customer.
- Ability to stand, walk, and try on multiple styles for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for proportion, silhouette, and craftsmanship.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in all interactions with team members and partners.
- Flexible availability to accommodate fitting schedules and occasional travel to supplier locations.
