Keysight Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Firmware R&D Operating Manager to join our Broadband and Photonic product development team within the Communications Solutions Group. You will lead a highly motivated team developing firmware for our test systems, blending management expertise with an understanding of physics and hardware.
What You'll Do
- Manage the software product lifecycle from concept to release, including scope, schedule, resource, budget, and risk management.
- Communicate project plans and results to management and align with product planning, hardware development, marketing, and order fulfillment.
- Lead a team of firmware engineers and support them in meeting their business and development goals.
- Identify and harness leverage potential across products and platforms.
- Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or another relevant subject.
- 3+ years’ experience leading software, ideally firmware, projects in a commercial environment.
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial software, ideally firmware, engineering.
- Sound knowledge of project management methodologies, especially Agile methods.
- Strong grasp of physics, preferably around digital or optical communication systems.
- Pro-active, strategic, and growth mindset, ready to hold themselves and others accountable.
- Strong communication skills and fluent English.
Nice to Have
- Practical experience in developing firmware.
- German language skills.
