Join a forward-thinking firm as a part-time Financial Leadership Partner, delivering high-impact financial guidance to small and mid-sized businesses. In this fully remote role, you’ll act as an outsourced CFO, working closely with business owners to strengthen financial performance and drive operational efficiency. Your work will center on achieving measurable improvements—specifically targeting 10% or higher operating margins—through strategic planning, data-driven insights, and executive-level advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to a portfolio of SMB clients, guiding them toward sustainable profitability and long-term financial health
- Develop and lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting tailored to each client’s goals
- Create customized financial models, dashboards, and KPIs that translate complex data into clear operational insights
- Lead strategic discussions with leadership teams on pricing, cost structure, labor efficiency, and margin improvement
- Turn financial analysis into practical recommendations that support confident decision-making
- Work with internal teams to refine service delivery, enhance methodologies, and scale advisory impact
Qualifications
Candidates should bring 10 to 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, or consulting, with a proven track record in senior financial roles such as CFO, Controller, or management consultant. Experience serving SMBs is essential. You must have a strong analytical foundation, fluency in financial modeling and data analytics tools, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-financial leaders.
A mindset oriented toward business growth and mission-driven success is critical. You should be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and passionate about helping entrepreneurs thrive. Residency in Texas or Georgia is required.
