The Communications Specialist plays a key role in developing and executing communication strategies that strengthen organizational presence and brand identity. Working closely with leadership, this position helps craft clear, consistent messaging for diverse audiences across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to design and implement communication and branding initiatives
- Create and edit content for advertising, email campaigns, social media, and digital and print materials
- Manage website content and oversee updates to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Review press releases and all internal and external communications for consistency and quality
- Support the development of marketing presentations and audience-specific messaging
- Supervise team members and collaborate with marketing colleagues to align efforts
- Develop outreach strategies to boost visibility and engagement
- Maintain relationships with media contacts and external partners
- Monitor compliance with organizational policies and ensure team members are trained on internal controls
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, along with at least one year of experience in business communications or the scholarly publishing sector. Exceptional written and verbal English skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
Experience creating content for digital, print, and social platforms is required. The ideal candidate balances creativity with strategic thinking and precision, and is committed to contributing actively within a remote, high-performance team environment.
