Job Summary:

The Financial Data Analyst will be the data wizard behind our monthly performance deep dive. Your role? Maintaining our custom data framework, turning raw numbers into crystal-clear insights, and spotlighting financial trends that drive decisions.

1. Cleaning, transforming, and decoding financial data (think accounting statements and industry stats).
2. Crafting data visualizations that turn complex info into actionable business strategies.
3. Keeping our internal datasets razor-sharp and up-to-date.

Responsibilities:

Data Cleaning and Transformation:

· Monthly financial data detective work in Microsoft Excel (Power Query is your sidekick), hunting down inconsistencies and data gaps.

· Morphing cleaned data into visualization-ready formats.

Dataset Updating:

· Keep our industry metrics datasets current and bulletproof.

· Spin up new datasets using Microsoft Excel, Python, and SQL as your data-crafting toolkit.

Data Visualisations and Analysis:

· Build and maintain slick dashboards on Microsoft Excel and Tableau.

· Dig deep into financial data to uncover trends, variances, and hidden opportunities.

Report Preparation:

· Co-pilot monthly financial reports, loading them with juicy insights and killer dashboards.

· Craft compelling business proposals and reports using PowerPoint and Canva.

Trend Analysis:

· Keep a pulse on key financial metrics and performance indicators.

· Decode financial data patterns that translate into strategic moves.

Collaboration:

· Thrive in a high-octane environment where deadlines are tight and communication is key.

· Partner with internal teams to fuel data-driven decision-making.

Data Integrity:

· Be the guardian of financial data accuracy through relentless validation.

· Design and implement bulletproof data management protocols.

Requirements:

Non-Negotiables:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to juggle priorities like a pro in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience:
• 2–4 years as a financial analyst or in a similar role.
• Excel wizard status in Microsoft Excel (Power Query expertise required) and Python.
• Data visualization mastery with Tableau.
• Comfortable wielding PowerPoint and Canva like a pro.

• Skills:
• Financial statements are your second language.
• Analytical skills that cut through complexity.
• Obsessive about details and precision.
• Communication skills that make complex ideas crystal clear.

Nice-to-Have:

• Bonus points for SQL and Snowflake skills.
• ETL process and data management best practices in your toolkit.
• Experience in real estate, accommodation, or hospitality sectors.
