Henry Ford Health is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in supporting the financial performance of our clinical service lines. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Service Lines, you will provide dedicated support to one of our four major service lines: Cancer, Heart and Vascular, Neurosciences, or Orthopedics.
What You'll Do
- Monitor financial systems to ensure data integrity and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Manage and complete special projects and attend various committee meetings as assigned.
- Provide financial support for individual business units and projects that cross business lines.
- Review reporting trends to perform proactive analysis and make recommendations to assigned business units.
- Work closely with reimbursement, decision support, contracting, supply chain, and operations teams.
- Maintain routine communications regarding financials on business plans, ROI, and ad hoc projects with senior executives, operational leadership, and physicians.
- Provide technical support, investigating significant variances, identifying process improvements, and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with controls over financial reporting.
- Perform other responsibilities or assignments as required.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree.
- Previous healthcare finance experience.
- Previous experience with cost accounting analysis.
