The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in advancing financial performance across a designated service line within a large health system. This individual will conduct complex financial evaluations, ensure data accuracy in reporting systems, and identify opportunities to strengthen financial outcomes through improved processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor financial systems to maintain data integrity and support reliable reporting
- Lead special projects and participate in committee meetings as assigned
- Analyze financial trends and deliver actionable insights to business unit leaders
- Collaborate with departments including reimbursement, supply chain, operations, and contracting
- Communicate financial performance, return on investment, and project updates to executives and operational leaders
- Investigate financial variances and recommend corrective or improvement measures
- Review and support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and compliance reports
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial reporting standards
- Support ad hoc financial initiatives and other duties as needed
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, along with 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. A Master’s degree is advantageous. Prior experience in healthcare finance or cost accounting analysis is preferred.
Work Environment
This position follows a hybrid work model with a primary location in Troy, MI. Regular collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams is expected, combining onsite and remote work.
