About the Role
The Financial Analyst will assess financial performance, develop forecasts, and provide insights through data analysis to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements and performance metrics to identify trends and insights
- Prepare detailed reports on revenue, expenses, and profitability
- Support the development and maintenance of budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate with departments to gather and validate financial data
- Monitor financial controls and recommend improvements
- Assist in the creation of dashboards and visualizations for leadership
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and projected financial results
- Evaluate cost structures and suggest efficiency improvements
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and adjustments
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation
- Track key performance indicators and financial benchmarks
- Translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations
- Update financial models with current and projected data
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Assist in preparing materials for executive reviews and board meetings
- Identify risks and opportunities related to financial performance
- Support special projects involving financial due diligence
- Work with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operations
- Improve data collection processes for accuracy and timeliness
- Stay current with regulatory and industry financial reporting standards

Education Requirement

Technical Skills

- Familiarity with financial software such as SAP or Oracle is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in finance or business administration
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential
- Prior experience supporting federal contracts
