STCU is seeking a Financial Analyst – Asset & Liability Management (senior candidates considered) to join our Finance team. In this role, you will specialize in ALM modeling and analysis to guide business strategy, perform in-depth financial analysis, forecast the balance sheet and income statement, and support the department's core functions.
What You'll Do
- Model and analyze the organization's asset and liability positions by assessing interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and other key financial indicators.
- Provide valuable insights and strategic recommendations based on your ALM analysis.
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses to uncover meaningful insights, recommend actions, and effectively communicate findings through presentations and reports.
- Utilize SQL, data warehouse resources, and data visualization tools to extract, compile, analyze, and present data.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for the Board of Directors, Leadership Team, and external regulatory entities.
- Perform ALM modeling and analysis, ensure timely completion of ALM-related processes, and implement process improvements.
- Accurately budget balance sheet and income statement accounts by partnering with internal departments and forecasting future activity.
- Support departmental or credit union-wide initiatives and projects as an effective project team member.
- Provide cross-functional support within the department, including cross-training on other analyst duties.
- Ensure proper accounting by keeping current with GAAP and recommending policy and procedure changes to maintain compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in an accounting or finance position.
- Proven ability to work independently with strong communication and time management skills.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Proven experience with report writing and/or data base tools (SQL, data warehouse).
Nice to Have
- Experience in a financial institution or in a public accounting/auditing position.

Work Mode
