About the Role

Modern Family Law, a swiftly expanding nationwide family law practice, is searching for a skilled Financial Analyst to enhance our team. The Financial Analyst will deliver financial perspectives, projections, and data-informed recommendations supporting strategic choices across a multi-site legal organization. This position is fundamental to ensuring precise financial planning, operational optimization, and regulatory adherence. The role serves as the primary conductor of forecasting and financial analysis procedures, guaranteeing timely, precise, and well-structured financial outputs that facilitate robust executive decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Financial Forecasting & Analysis - Gather, authenticate, and integrate monthly forecasts for 13+ locations supporting firm-wide financial planning. - Evaluate trends and variations; proactively recognize and alert CFO about risks and opportunities. - Support budgeting cycles and continuous revenue/expense evaluation. - Function as the firm's primary coordination point for forecasting inputs from Operations, HR, Billing, and additional departments, ensuring comprehensiveness and punctuality. Data, Systems & Automation - Extract and interpret data from core systems to generate actionable insights. - Facilitate process enhancement and automation initiatives, including Power BI implementation. - Construct and maintain data workflows enhancing visibility and decision-making. - Continuously improve forecasting tools, models, and automation pipelines to reduce manual effort and increase forecasting precision. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with Operations, HR, Billing, and other departments to ensure accurate data inputs. - Engage in cross-departmental training and knowledge-sharing sessions. Compliance & Reporting - Support internal controls and compliance-related tasks. - Prepare recurring and specialized financial reports for leadership. Strategic Support - Complete special projects and analyses as designated by the CFO. - Additional responsibilities as assigned. Requirements - As a remote-first organization, all employees must maintain a professional home workspace with reliable internet and availability during standard business hours. - 2–3 years of financial analysis experience in mid- or large-scale organizations. - Bachelor's degree mandatory. - Comfortable navigating multiple systems and extensive datasets. - Capacity to work extended hours during peak financial cycles or special projects. - Demonstrated ability to manage recurring financial cycles independently and ensure deadline-driven deliverables with minimal oversight. Technical Skills and Competencies: Technical Skills - Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and Microsoft Suite familiarity. - Power BI experience strongly preferred. - Capability to build, maintain, and troubleshoot forecasting models, templates, and data workflows. Behavioral Competencies - Strong analytical approach with ownership mentality. - Detail-focused, dependable, and adaptable in dynamic environments. - Exceptional communication skills; capable of professional interactions across organizational levels. - Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. - Proactive self-starter understanding contextual details. - Demonstrated reliability and rapid technological learning. - Excellent client service skills; organized and capable of managing multiple simultaneous matters. - Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to evolving demands and deadlines. Compensation and Benefits: Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000, adjusted for experience, location, and job-related factors. This range represents a reasonably reliable base salary estimate. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on experience, location, and legally permissible job-related factors. Comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, HSA/FSA options, disability coverage, dental and vision care, life insurance, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and employee assistance program access. Additional voluntary benefits include accident, life, disability, critical illness, long-term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and transit benefits may be available in select locations.
