MongoDB is hiring a Financial Analyst to join our Strategic Finance team. You will be responsible for the financial and analytical aspects of key business decisions, go-to-market strategies, and investment opportunities, helping to shape the company's direction.
What You'll Do
- Own the company self-serve and product-led-growth forecast model.
- Help drive the annual planning process; prepare monthly and quarterly board and executive reporting.
- Support the investor relations function and corporate development initiatives, including any potential M&A.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to inform teams on operating strategies, investment recommendations, and new business opportunities.
- Develop cross-functional partnerships with Leadership across the company to review investment opportunities, growth levers, and align on a resourcing model.
- Lead, collaborate, and contribute to business case development of new strategic initiatives.
- Provide strategic advice and direction to facilitate fast decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 3 years experience in investment banking, management consulting, or an analytical role at a data-driven technology company.
- Superior analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills.
- Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Confidence to forge strong relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization.
- Drive for results and a sense of urgency with the capacity to multitask and prioritize.
- Highly organized with rigorous attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Candidates must possess substantial experience with financial modeling and proficiency in Excel.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data acquisition tools (e.g., SQL) and large datasets is a plus.
