About the Role
The Financial Accountant will oversee key accounting functions including month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities while supporting internal and external audits.
Responsibilities
- Maintain precise and up-to-date general ledger records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support the completion of external audits and regulatory filings
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant financial regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Track fixed assets and handle depreciation schedules
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Review and process journal entries accurately
- Coordinate with external auditors during audit periods
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting procedures
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting
- Assist in tax preparation and reporting requirements
- Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations
- Prepare supporting documentation for financial disclosures
- Respond to financial inquiries from management
- Ensure timely filing of financial reports
- Assist with payroll accounting and related compliance
- Maintain records for intercompany transactions
- Support the implementation of new accounting software or systems
- Conduct periodic financial analysis for leadership review
- Uphold confidentiality of financial data
- Participate in cross-functional projects involving finance
