HireHawk is hiring a Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team. This associate-level role offers the opportunity to independently support critical operations, manage month-end processes, and act as a key communication link with our diverse client base. You'll work within a lean, dynamic, and supportive team that values long-term relationships, professional growth, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage month-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions with high attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with Mexican clients in Spanish and U.S. clients in English
- Collaborate with a junior accountant to optimize workflow and provide backup coverage
- Cross-train across various finance functions to enhance team flexibility
What We're Looking For
- Spanish fluency required for bilingual client communication
- Proven ability to independently manage month-end close processes with minimal supervision
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles
- Demonstrated experience managing financial reconciliations (bank, AR, AP)
- Ability to proactively identify, document, and communicate financial discrepancies
- Proficiency with desktop-based ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics GP Desktop
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliations)
- Availability to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours
- Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field required
- Preference for long-term, stable contract roles over short-term freelance work
