Responsibilities
- Independently manage month-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions with high attention to detail and accountability
- Communicate effectively with Mexican clients in Spanish and U.S. clients in English to maintain strong business relationships
- Collaborate with junior accountant to optimize workflow distribution and provide backup coverage during planned absences
- Cross-train across various finance functions to enhance team flexibility and operational continuity
Requirements
- Spanish fluency required to support bilingual communication with clients in Mexico and the U.S.
- Proven ability to independently manage month-end close processes with minimal supervision
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles
- Demonstrated experience managing financial reconciliations, including bank, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Ability to proactively identify, document, and communicate financial discrepancies to relevant stakeholders
- Proficiency with desktop-based ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics GP Desktop
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions, and reconciliation workflows
- Availability to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours
- Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field required
