As part of the operations team, you will build up an operational finance function that acts as an asset rather than a liability. The processes and structures you build along the way will support fonio's rapid internationalization and growth. We are not looking for someone who performs repetitive work, but rather for someone who takes ownership, improves and automates processes, and builds the financial foundation for fonio's future success. Systems & Automation - Roll out and own a lean ERP system, from selection to implementation - Build a clean invoice approval and control process (for incoming invoices) - Automate internal and external monthly reporting – together with the Strategic Finance Lead - Translate everything in finance that's manual today into workflows and agents Planning & Reporting - Operational financial planning with the Strategic Finance Lead and Chief of Staff - Keep weekly cash-flow projections live and accurate - Consolidation across entities - KPI preparation and internal reporting Accounting & Tax - Monthly accounting prep together with our tax advisors - Coordinate tax topics (VAT, corporate tax, payroll, international) - Corporate credit cards: setup, limits, reconciliation - Employee reimbursements and expense management - Inter-company transfers and FX handling What you bring - At least 2 years of operational finance experience at a startup or scale-up – you've actually touched invoices, expenses, accounting prep and cash flow yourself - Obsession with detail – clean handling of numbers, small errors bother you before they bother anyone else - AI-first: workflows, agents and automations are your default solution, not the exception.
