Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, timely, and compliant accounting operations across the United States, Latin America (Mexico, Peru, Brazil), and Africa (Kenya).
- Lead and support Country Finance Generalists.
- Review financial close and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and local statutory requirements.
- Provide hands-on guidance on complex accounting matters.
- Drive regional consistency through process standardization.
- Strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborate closely with the global finance team.
- May directly manage U.S. accounting operations or another assigned country entity.
- Lead accurate and timely actuals spend reporting across all country offices within the region.
- Partner with Country Accountants and FP&A teams to review consolidated results.
- Analyze variances against regional budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure consistent reporting practices.
- Serve as the regional accounting point of contact for compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
- Validate reconciliations to FP&A reporting.
- Support regional financial reviews and strategic conversations.
- May directly manage actuals reporting for a designated country entity.
- Oversee finance compliance activities across assigned countries.
- Ensure alignment with local tax, banking, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate compliance calendars.
- Support audit execution.
- Help implement effective procedures and controls.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure compliance milestones and deliverables are met efficiently across multiple jurisdictions.
- Partner closely with global finance functional leads to contribute regional perspective, technical expertise, and practical insights to ongoing initiatives.
- Support consistent interpretation, application, and continuous improvement of global finance processes, policies, and systems.
- Help drive alignment and operational excellence across regions.
- Build a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive finance team across cultures and geographies.
- Apply thoughtful talent practices to strengthen engagement, development, knowledge sharing, and the successful delivery of regional and global business outcomes.
