Albany International is looking for a Finance Intern to support our corporate finance operations. This internship offers a comprehensive learning experience across key finance functions, providing practical exposure to treasury, accounting, tax, and financial forecasting within a global organization.
What You'll Do
- Support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting processes.
- Assist with bank reconciliations, cash applications, accounts payable and receivable, and sales and use tax filings.
- Help with the US Income Tax Provision, tax rate analysis, and the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Maintain and manage banking relationships, coordinating account setups, fund transfers, and analyzing bank fees.
- Prepare weekly and monthly treasury reports on cash positions, cash flow forecasts, and liquidity.
- Monitor short-term investments, interest rates, and market conditions to support cash management strategies.
- Track and report on the company’s debt obligations, including loan balances, interest payments, and covenants.
- Perform data entry into treasury management systems and contribute to improving treasury workflows.
- Assist in identifying financial risks (foreign exchange, interest rate, commodity prices) and support risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure treasury operations comply with internal policies and external regulations; maintain accurate transaction documentation.
- Support annual and periodic audit processes.
- Validate vendor master data, checking payment methods and reviewing IBANs and routing numbers.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and assist team members as needed.
