The University of British Columbia (UBC) seeks a Finance Analyst – Supply Chain to provide comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Inbound & Outbound Freight and Warehousing operations. You will act as a key business partner to supply chain leaders, driving strategic initiatives and financial performance.

What You'll Do

Drive the implementation and reporting of KPIs and critical metrics.
Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and cost optimization.
Lead forecasting and budgeting processes for freight and warehousing.
Deliver insightful weekly and monthly reporting with variance analysis.
Partner with procurement to analyze vendor rates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
Support capital tracking, S&OP processes, and ad hoc financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
Provide end-to-end financial support for Outbound Logistics, Inbound Freight, and Warehousing.
Own budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reconciliations.
Produce accurate and timely financial reporting with detailed commentary.
Track freight costs, identify discrepancies, and highlight cost leakage.
Evaluate supply chain projects and continuous improvement initiatives with robust financial analysis.
Maintain strong internal controls and support audit remediation.

What We're Looking For

CA or CPA qualification.
5+ years of proven experience in finance logistics, freight finance, and business partnering within a large-scale supply chain environment.
Strong understanding of logistics cost structures and rate/service dynamics.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Analytical mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
