McKesson Medical-Surgical is recruiting a Field VP, Strategic Accounts, Health Systems. This territory-based position drives growth by strategizing comprehensive support for existing large, intricate, multi-service customers within health systems, ensuring substantial strategic impact for McKesson Medical Surgical while expanding sales opportunities. The role also focuses on developing new customer relationships strategically. California-based candidates are preferred, with candidates from Arizona, Washington, and Utah also considered. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute master strategy for assigned strategic health systems customers, detailing comprehensive support, contractual requirements, expansion strategies, resource allocation, key decision makers, and critical account insights - Drive customer satisfaction metrics including service levels, financial objectives, quality, reliability, and goal alignment - Cultivate robust relationships with health system executive leadership and influential stakeholders to promote MMS offerings - Apply specialized expertise to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and sales growth potential - Establish strategic partnerships with health system group purchasing organizations Existing Expansion: - Identify and capitalize on sales growth opportunities within current customer base - Collaborate across McKesson business units to discover potential expansion and penetration areas Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7+ years of relevant professional experience - Valid driver's license and clean driving record Critical Skills: - Proven business development experience in healthcare distribution - Demonstrated consultative selling capabilities at executive leadership level - Comprehensive healthcare sales expertise - Advanced analytical capabilities and exceptional business understanding - Previous experience integrating complex health systems Additional Skills: - Superior communication, presentation, and active listening capabilities - Ability to lead strategic initiatives and mobilize resources effectively - Exceptional relationship-building skills across internal and external environments - Technological systems comprehension and value articulation - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Multiple examples of supporting large, complex customer solutions - Intermittent travel requirement - Salesforce CRM experience preferred - MBA advantageous Travel: Up to 50% within assigned territory with minimal overnight stays Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred Physical Requirements: - Significant computer and phone-based work - Extensive travel via automobile and air - Home office environment with frequent travel Must be authorized to work in US.
