We are looking for a Field Supervisor to join the Clean Energy Revolution. In this role, you will provide direct leadership to a team of construction and maintenance line crews, ensuring safety, strategic work structuring, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Supervise line crews, troublemen, and streetlight repairmen in day-to-day operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Resolve operational issues promptly, lead corrective actions, and conduct field visits to monitor job progress and correct unsafe conditions.
- Address in-field employee disputes, adjust crew schedules and priorities as needs change, and monitor workload for effective resource utilization.
- Verify the accuracy of overall records, crew timesheets, and work order documentation.
- Provide mentoring, leadership, training, and development to employees, delivering coaching and feedback.
- Interact with customers, city officials, and other external agencies to complete work and adhere to project timelines.
- Optimize crew cost efficiency by managing overtime, crew size, and accurate tailboarding.
- Ensure protection of company physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets and proper handling of sensitive information.
What We're Looking For
- Two or more years of combined experience in an electric utility performing or supervising in planning, design, construction, maintenance, standards & development, system operations, field operations, engineering, or construction project management.
- Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Experience with the Workit electronic work order system.
- Previous experience as a Troubleman or E-Crew Foreman.
- Typically five or more years of combined experience performing and/or supervising activities related to the design, construction, maintenance, and/or scheduling of the electric distribution system.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams or bargaining unit personnel, including applying the IBEW collective bargaining agreement.
- Experience overseeing or executing medium to large construction projects with underground and overhead construction, maintenance, and operation of the electrical distribution system and associated regulatory requirements.
- Experience reviewing work and leading the execution of work to ensure on-schedule completion.
- Ability to plan and prioritize projects, including managing multiple simultaneous projects and identifying/allocating resources to meet project timelines.
- Experience applying GO 95, GO 128, GO168 and Accident Prevention Manual rules.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead others by building strong working relationships, adapting leadership style, identifying developmental needs, and delivering coaching and mentoring.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal departments, customers, and union personnel.
Team & Environment
You will supervise a team of construction and maintenance line crews and a troubleman, reporting directly to the District Manager.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position based at an SCE facility or field location.
