Southern California Edison is seeking an Underground General Foreman Supervisor to lead crews in Victorville. You will oversee teams responsible for installing, removing, and repairing underground distribution and communication systems. Your work directly contributes to powering communities and advancing cleaner energy initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Review daily construction plans and material needs with crews, conducting site inspections to verify safe work methods.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers on daily work activities and short- and long-term projects.
- Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols and resolve any identified issues promptly.
- Ensure all field work orders align with standards as per the Transmission Overhead Construction, Distribution Design Standard, and Overhead and Underground Construction Standards manuals.
- Guarantee on-site adherence to company policies and environmental guidelines, following proper accounting procedures for project materials.
- Act as a Duty Supervisor, responding to after-hours outage and emergency repair calls, and supervising proper commissioning and testing.
- Manage all aspects of material management and environmental guidelines related to handling and disposal.
- Provide training and development opportunities to employees, facilitating sessions and offering feedback.
- Protect company physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, properly managing private customer data and other sensitive information.
What We're Looking For
- One or more years of combined experience performing or supervising underground and overhead construction, maintenance, and operation of the electrical distribution system, including outages and switching procedures.
- A valid Class C Driver's License.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity, electrical circuitry, and operation of electrical equipment.
- A dedicated commitment to working safely and skillfully.
- Skill in giving instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Experience with State General Orders 95 and 128.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position based in Victorville.
