What You'll Do
Perform regular factory inspections—both on-site and remotely—at authorized manufacturing facilities to verify continued compliance with certification requirements. Select and assess representative product samples to confirm adherence to applicable technical standards and certification reports.
Review quality assurance processes, testing records, and production documentation to ensure consistency with approved procedures. Prepare detailed inspection reports, including Factory Inspection Reports (FIR), Initial Factory Evaluations (IFE), and product assessments, following established protocols.
Evaluate past non-conformances to confirm resolution and, under supervision, determine appropriate corrective actions and timelines. Make informed judgments on whether deviations require shipment holds, re-evaluation, or mark withdrawal. Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, respond to inquiries, and support record updates such as changes in company details.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or possess equivalent qualifications such as a licensed electrician with relevant experience
- Engineering bachelor’s degree with at least two years of applicable field experience
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, test data, and engineering specifications
- Proficient in using calibrated measuring tools, high-voltage test equipment, and standard hand tools
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation and general lab practices related to product verification
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Capable of managing multiple assignments, shifting schedules, and deadlines with minimal supervision
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 75%) with short notice
- Comfortable working independently from a home office setup
- Skilled in conflict resolution and handling challenging client interactions professionally
