About the Role

What You'll Do

Drive revenue growth for CADDY and GARDNER BENDER Commercial Electrical products across the Great Plains by designing and executing multi-year sales strategies. Identify new business opportunities, target key projects, and expand presence through channel partners and distribution networks.

Manage and mentor a third-party agent team, ensuring alignment on territory goals, pricing, customer engagement, and professional development. Foster a performance-driven culture rooted in accountability, mutual respect, and teamwork.

Act as a technical liaison, delivering product training and on-site support to contractors, engineers, and distributors. Highlight product advantages such as labor efficiency and technical innovation to influence end-user specifications.

Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Product Management, and Operations to align field insights with product development and go-to-market initiatives. Support new product launches and ensure inventory positioning meets field demand.

Use CRM tools like Salesforce to track opportunities, analyze sales trends, and communicate market feedback. Represent the brand at industry events and maintain visibility among key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in outside sales
  • Ability to work remotely with up to 60% travel across CO, IA, KS, NE, MO, Southern IL, and Eastern WY, including overnight trips
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools
  • Capable of working on construction sites and navigating physical job environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in outside sales or territory management within the electrical, commercial, or industrial sectors
  • Background in technical or value-based selling
  • Familiarity with contractor and distribution sales channels
